Echo Development Group, Inc. Acquires Medical Building for Behavioral Health Clinic Build-to-Suit Redevelopment
Echo Development Group, Inc. announces it has acquired an existing medical building in partnership with BrightView – an outpatient addiction medicine practice based in Cincinnati, OH. The property is located at 999 North Main Street in Akron, OH (approximately 3 miles north of the downtown CBD), and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.
Through the use of medication-assisted treatment in conjunction with psychological and social services, BrightView delivers the necessary support to help patients meet both their mental and physical goals. Currently, BrightView operates 8 clinics in various markets throughout Ohio.
“We are very excited about our partnership with BrightView and are honored to be able to help them with their mission of combating the opioid crisis,” said Echo Development Principal, Jon Boyajian. “It is terrible to think about, but every day, more than 130 people in the United States die from opioid overdose. More people died of opioid addiction last year than in automobile accidents. Thankfully, there are innovative companies like BrightView that can implement successful treatment programs in an out-patient setting. Not everyone can afford an in-patient care option.”
Mr. Boyajian went on to add, “Part of the reason BrightView is so successful is they chose locations that are convenient and accessible to their patients and the communities they serve. Analytically speaking, they know exactly where they need to be in order to make the biggest impact. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help them execute their real estate strategy.”
