Builders give update to Echo project in Surprise

More details have been released about the new industrial project going up at 132nd and Peoria avenues in Surprise.

Premier Design and Build Group broke ground in November on a speculative, four-building development that will bring new warehouse and office space to Arizona’s Skyway Business Park. Premier is working with client Echo Real Estate Capital to deliver much needed smaller, Class-A industrial buildings to the Northern Parkway Industrial Corridor in Phoenix’s West Valley submarket.

Premier is providing general contracting services on Echo Park @ P132, a four-building complex that will add a total of 182,870 square feet at the intersection of Peoria and 132nd avenues. The four structures will range in size from 43,000 to 48,000 square feet.

Construction is slated for completion in October 2024.

“There’s been a boom in large-scale construction in this corridor over the past decade, which has fueled economic growth,” Echo’s Chad Firsel said. “At the same time, there’s significant demand for high-quality, smaller warehouse and office facilities. Echo is working to fill that gap with this new development.”

Premier’s Steve Gabbert, principal of Southwest market leader, said the company is honored to partner with Echo.

“Our team has led large and small new construction projects across California and in Nevada,” Gabbert said. “This is our first Arizona assignment, and we’re excited to get work underway.”

Premier’s team for Echo Park @ P132 also includes Jeramy Mahfet as project manager, Jack Grooms as superintendent and Greg Lew as senior project engineer.

Premier’s project partners include Winton Architects, Inc., for architectural design services, GF Group for structural engineering, KAEKO for civil engineering, Mechanical Designs, Inc., for mechanical and plumbing, and Hawkins Design Group, Inc., for electrical.
